Give your students the opportunity to use different material while they brainstorm with a verbal prompting

PLAYDOUGH PROMPT

    

STEP 1: Give your students the opportunity to use different material while they brainstorm with a verbal prompt. Each student is given playdough and a prompt for their table group. 

STEP 2: Give verbal prompt for this activity is "You are trapped on an island and you are required to bring one item." Students are then asked to create their item out of playdough. 

STEP 3: Have the students create a story together. This can include sharing the purpose of each item.

STEP 4: Extensions can be to have students individually write a story or journal entry based on the information their group has discussed.
