Story Starters

Scholastic has an excellent online tool for teachers. This story scrambler is easy to use, and acts as a writing prompt with four randomly generated ideas.. The intention of the scrambler is for students to utilize all four of these randomly generated ideas to create their own story. Often, these stories are silly and fun to write. This activity provides motivation for students in their story writing experience.
